The segmented spreader rolls are under the sheet of paper. The segmented stretch roll is placed over an arcuate roll mounted on a steel beam. The cylinder is mounted below the segmented spreader roll. The bending curvature of the spreader roll can be modified by adjusting the gas pressure to adjust the cylinder.
When the sheet passes under the first roller, the sheet is guided from the center to the outside by a curved roller at each slightly different angle.
